Run, girl, run

I keep on looking, but nothing’s there —
Running faster, chasing air.
The world keeps shifting as I flee —
Breath runs short. I just want to be free.

The years go by, everything seems fine,
The seasons turn, flowers bloom in time.
The past should fade, be left behind —
Run, girl, run — seek, don’t hide.

I catch a glimpse —
He pulls her close, a kiss to her cheek,
So soft it settles where silence sleeps.

She rolls her eyes, pretends —
As if he ever really pays her mind.
And yet, her smile remains.

His laughter fades as my next song begins —
A new rhythm, but the same silence within.
They remind me of the future we never had.

Well… let’s talk about AI.

Petals fall —
I catch them mid-air,
Watching people move,
So slow, unaware.

I feel like I’m running through honey and glass —
Life drags by, but I’m racing too fast.

Like I missed the beat and can’t find the rhythm —
Just noise in my chest, just silence in the system.
Still, I find comfort within.

I laugh — like glass catching light.
Not part of the dance, but warmed by the sight.

A bell rings in the distance —
Soft, but sharp enough to catch.

My head is pulsing, my heart feels sore,
But I keep running —
Looking forward,
Just once more.
